About Lesson

When employees use AI tools, they often share information through prompts, questions, or uploaded content. Understanding how AI systems process this information is important for using them safely in a corporate environment.

Even seemingly harmless information can reveal sensitive details about a company’s operations, data, or strategy. For this reason, employees should understand how information shared with AI tools may be processed and what risks this may create.

1. AI Tools Process and Store Prompts
Information entered into AI systems may be processed, logged, or stored by external providers.

2. Small Details Can Reveal Sensitive Information
Even partial data, summaries, or anonymized text can still reveal internal business insights.

3. Context Can Expose Confidential Knowledge
Seemingly harmless descriptions of projects, problems, or strategies may disclose internal operations.

4. AI Systems Do Not Distinguish Sensitive Data
AI tools cannot automatically determine whether information is confidential, personal, or proprietary.

5. Data Shared with AI May Leave the Organization
When using external AI services, information may be processed outside the company’s systems or jurisdiction.
